Integrative Medicine – Getting the best from both conventional and alternative medicine combined
“Integrative
medicine is use of both conventional Western medicine and
complimentary/ alternatively medicine as part of a patient’s treatment
regime!”
This is a recent development in treatment and is taken increasingly
seriously by many physicians. Indeed departments of Integrative
Medicine are becoming more common as medical professional see that
patients need treatment beyond just symptoms and specific events but
need to see medicine in a holistic context! We would like therefore to invite to participate in and ask the expert’s session from Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals.
Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals in Philadelphia, USA, is holding running an online Ask the Experts about Integrative Medicine forum with physicians from the Jefferson-Myrna Brind Center of Integrative Medicine answering questions on integrative cancer care, bio-identical hormone replacement therapy and mindfulness-based stress reduction.
Featuring a video introduction by Daniel A. Monti, executive and medical director of the Myrna Brind Center, our Ask the Experts about Integrative Medicine forum seeks to build awareness about the integrative medicine and gives families and caregivers an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the available treatment options.
Readers can submit questions to our experts through September 2. The active Q&A period will then end but the questions and answers will remain on the Myrna Brind Center’s page as a resource for patients, their families and caregivers.
