Death Worm
Death Worm
It seems that some of the best iPhone games
are those that were originally successful flash games. The logic here is
simple – online flash games were made for the sole purpose of being
addictive and passing the time, so it makes perfect sense that a port
onto a mobile device should also be just as successful.
The game ‘Death Worm’ shows this really well. Due to its huge online
popularity, the seemingly bizarre premise of controlling a huge killer
worm and gobbling up people has managed to survive the transfer to
iPhone, and continues to do well.
For fans of the original online game, there is no reason why you
should not get this app. The premise is the same, with an added
‘survival’ mode, making it twice the fun. Whilst the game itself is
identical to the online version, this is certainly not a downside – the
ability to play the game whenever and wherever you want, without
internet connection, is surely a benefit. Plus, through having it to
play on iOS, you have the added benefit of the beautiful Retina display
graphics now on iOS.
However Death Worm is certainly not just a re-release of a popular
game – it has plenty to offer newcomers as well. The game itself is
fairly large – it features 45 different levels in 3 different areas, and
includes two new mini games, and the ever popular achievements and
leaderboard function makes it even more compelling to play through to
the end, in order to get the best score.
